INCEPTION
The Department of Mathematics was instituted in 1996. The Course B.Sc. Mathematics is being offered since 2004.
OBJECTIVE
· The objective of the department is to provide strong mathematical foundation, analytical, computational skills and abstract understanding to the under graduate students which will enable them to handle any industrial and research problems
· To conduct conferences and workshops so as to provide forums for sharing knowledge and enrich students with such experiences.

The Library maintains a collection of around 300 books for both UG and PG requirements.
BRIDGE COURSE
Bridge course is conducted for the 1 year students during which introduction about the College, Department, Elements of Mathematics & Mathematical concepts are done.
CERTIFICATE COURSE
A certificate course on Math Tricks for Aptitude for a duration of 30 hours is offered during the 3rd semester.

An International Webinar on “Recent trends in pure and applied mathematics” was organized on 10-07-2022. The resource person was Dr. Hema Srinivasan, Professor Department of Mathematics, University of Missouri, United States of America.

· A guest lecture on “Encrypting numbers through Graphs” was held on 08-08-2022. The resource person was Dr. L. Shobana, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, SRM University, Kattankulathur
· Guest lecture on “Mathematical Tools on Technology” was conducted on 12-09-2022. The resource person was Mr.Dhanaruban Velusamy, CEO & Founder, Infologia Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
