The Department of Business Administration was introduced in 2003.

  • BRIDGE COURSE

    Bridge course is held to bridge the gap between the curriculum of the pervious education system with the new system, ensuring that student have developed foundation in the subject they will encounter in the new system their by minimizing the challenges of knowledge gap

    CERTIFICATE COURSE

    The Department of Business Administration offers a certificate course on FUTURE OF BUSINESS for a duration of 30 hours in the 3rd semester

    SEMINARS, CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS

    National Seminar on ““Vision India @ 2047- Contemporary challenges in Business” in association with ICT Academy was organized on October 7, 2022. It was inaugurated by Mr. T. Jayaseelan, IDAS, Controller of Defence Accounts, Ministry of Defence, Government of Tamil Nadu and Mr. U. Peter Sahayaraj, Chief Operating Officer, Build HQ, Chennai. The resource persons were Mr.Somasanjeevan.T.K Global Consultant & Mentor Former Executive Vice President – HR group level- Manappuram Finance Limited. Mr.George Koshi, Director – Learning and Development Sify Technologies Ltd. Mrs Renuka Murali, Chartered Accountant and Partner J.Murali& Co. The valedictory address was delivered by Mr. K.M. Aswin Kumar, Chief Financial Officer, HealthVista India Limited, Bangalore.

    A series of guest lectures were organized

    • “SUCCESS JOURNEY OF VEDHAM MILK PRODUCTS” was held on 16.08.2022. Mr. N. Ramesh, Managing Director, Vedham Milk Products addressed the students.
    • “DIGITAL MARKETING” was held on 15.09.2022. The resource person was Mr. Suresh Karthik, Digital Marketing Manager, Crayon Data.
    • “TALENT MANAGEMENT” guest lecture was organized on 17.10.2022. The resource person was Mr. Kumar KS, People Catalyst, Coach, Talent developer and a HR leader.
    • “ADVERTISING PUBLIC RELATIONS AND PUBLICITY” on 18.10.2022 and Ms. Aisha Begum L, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Mangayarkarasi College of Arts and Science for Women, Madurai addressed the students.
    • “LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT” on 17.10.2022 and the resource person was Dr. G.J Manohar, Headmaster and Correspondent, MCC Higher Secondary School, Chennai.
    • “ORGANISATION STRUCTURES” on 05.11.2022and the resource person Mrs. Niranjana Prabhakaran, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College for Women addressed our students.
    • “INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES” on 15.10.2022. The resource person was Mrs. K. Selvi, Head, Department of Commerce, Prince Shri Balaji Arts and Science College, Ponmar.

    Ms. FirdhousBanu.H from II MA HRM presented a paper titled “A Study On The Sales Representative Morale On Job Satisfaction In Textile Division” at the International conference on “Transformation through Innovation and Reinvention in Business Practices 2023” jointly organised by Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women, Chennai, Shri ShankarlalSundarbaiShasun Jain College for Women, Chennai and MIT square, London on 6th April 2023.

    Ms. Firdhous Banu H participated and won 1st prize in the essay writing competition conducted by the Intra Psyche Club, Department of Psychology on March 24, 2023.

    Ms. Jayashree S presented a paper titled “A Study On The Antecedents And Consequences Of Employee Engagement In Fmcg” at the 3rd International conference on emerging approaches in Business Management- Rediscovering Quality Business Practices (ICEABM- 2023) held on March 30-31, 2023.

    Asha Krishnan III BBA won the second prize in Business Quiz in the event “COMFEST 2022, conducted by the Department of Commerce, Justice Basheer Sayed College for Women, Chennai.”

    Firdhous Banu H II MA HRM completed the NPTEL certification course on “Stress Management”

    Dr.K.Latika, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration and Human Resource Management presented a paper on “A study on the antecedents and consequences of employee engagement in FMCG”received best paper in the International conference on Emerging Approaches in Business Management- Rediscovering Business Practices organized by SRM Institute of Science and Technology - College of Management in collaboration with Arab Open University Oman on 30-03-2023 and 31-03-2023.
