NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

The NSS Unit of our College actively conducted a wide range of extension activities focusing on environmental sustainability, health awareness, and community service. Key initiatives included coastal clean-up drives at Besant Nagar and Marina Beach, tree plantation programmes, and participation in awareness campaigns promoting cultural pride and civic engagement.

Health-focused initiatives such as blood donation camps, stem cell and organ donation awareness programmes, cancer awareness drives, and CPR training sessions helped educate students on community well-being and life-saving practices. Observances such as International Yoga Day and workshops on digital media addiction promoted holistic health and mindful living.

Students also engaged in civic initiatives such as National Voters Day, district-level padyatras, and NSS interaction programmes, enhancing leadership skills and social responsibility. The seven-day Special Camp further strengthened community outreach through cleaning drives, awareness rallies, and skill-based workshops, reflecting the true spirit of service and teamwork.
