INCEPTION

The Department of Commerce was instituted in 1996. The B. Com (General) with Digital Commerce and Entrepreneurship program is a specialized three-year (6 semesters) undergraduate degree designed to bridge traditional commercial wisdom with the modern digital economy and innovation-led business models.

OBJECTIVES

• To provide a strong foundation in core business disciplines including accounting, operations, and commercial law, integrated with the evolving digital economy.
• To equip students with knowledge and skills in emerging domains such as e-commerce, digital marketing, and startup management.
• To enable students to apply technology-driven solutions in areas like supply chain management, financial technology (FinTech), and social media marketing.
• To develop practical competencies through exposure to modern business tools, industry practices, and real-world problem-solving approaches.
• To foster entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills through project-based learning, business plan development, and industry interaction.
