The Youth Red Cross (YRC)
The YRC Unit of our College conducts a series of impactful activities focusing on humanitarian service, health awareness, and social responsibility[cite: 37]. Our mission is to foster values of compassion, volunteerism, and a lifelong commitment to community service among the youth[cite: 38]. Through our diverse initiatives, we strengthen the students' sense of responsibility towards society, health, and the environment[cite: 42].
Orientation & Pledge
Witnessed active participation from over 300–500 students, fostering core values of volunteerism and compassion[cite: 38].
Health Awareness
Education on Chikungunya, Bird Flu, and hygiene reached 1,000+ students, focusing on safety and disease prevention[cite: 39].
Active Citizenship
International Peace Day and Civic Responsibility sessions encouraged discussions on global harmony and ethical values[cite: 40].
Sustainability
Organized a "No Plastics Environment Campaign" at Virugambakkam to promote eco-friendly practices[cite: 41].
