HERBAL GARDEN

The herbal garden at Dr. MGR Janaki College - VISTAS nurtures around 50 species of medicinal plants, serving as a valuable resource for education and sustainability. It includes herbs such as Tulsi, Aloe-vera, Mint, Lemongrass, Curry Leaves, and Neem, along with medicinal plants like Ashwagandha, Amla, Brahmi, Turmeric, Ginger, Nilavembu, Thoothuvalai, and Tinospora cordifolia.

These plants are widely used in traditional medicine for immunity, digestion, respiratory health, and skin care. The garden promotes biodiversity, supports experiential learning, and encourages awareness of natural healing practices, fostering environmental responsibility and holistic well-being among students and staff.

Dr. MGR Janaki College - VISTAS has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITC WOW (Well-being Out of Waste) to promote sustainable waste management practices on campus. Through this collaboration, the institution ensures the systematic collection and recycling of paper waste generated within the college.
