INCEPTION
The Department of Commerce was instituted in 1996. The B. Com (Accounting, Finance and Financial Analytics) program is a specialized three-year (6 semesters) undergraduate degree designed to provide a multidisciplinary and skill-oriented understanding of global finance and data-driven business practices.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide a strong foundation in accounting and finance, with emphasis on core areas such as Income Tax Law & Practice, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management.
- To equip students with knowledge in emerging domains including business analytics, financial reporting and digital banking and finance.
- To enhance analytical and problem-solving skills through exposure to real-world case studies and industry-based scenarios.
- To develop competencies in financial analysis, data interpretation and research through projects and internships.
- To prepare students for professional careers in auditing, financial services, risk analysis and related fields.
