INCEPTION
The Department of Commerce was instituted in 1996. The B. Com (General) program is a versatile undergraduate degree offered in three-year (6 semesters) designed to provide a comprehensive and multi-faceted understanding of the global business environment.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide a strong foundation in the core principles of trade and commerce, including financial accounting, business law and income tax.
- To equip students with comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and financial frameworks relevant to the business environment.
- To develop understanding of modern business practices through subjects such as marketing management, banking and financial services and business statistics.
- To enhance analytical and problem-solving skills to address contemporary business challenges.
- To build interpersonal and technical competencies through soft skills training, digital marketing fundamentals and practical exposure.
