All students are encouraged to take part in games and sports. Talented students are encouraged to join the college team. The College conducts Karate and Yoga classes and students can opt for any one of these.
The University of Madras stipulates that all students must enroll themselves in one of these compulsory extension programmes.
The College encourages the students to actively take part in the NSS activities so as to serve the society. A ten day annual camp is held in the “NSS” adopted village every year. The students are encouraged to participate in this camp and help the villagers.
The Rotaract focuses on engaging the students in awareness rallies, fund raising programmes for social causes, helping the differently-abled and so on. These activities aim at building social responsibilities and leadership qualities in students.
The Abstinence Club spreads awareness about health issues particularly AIDS prevention by involving students in activities like exhibition, street plays and counseling sessions.
The Youth Red cross involves students in conducting eye camps and holding discussions to promote health awareness.
